PSG’s in depth recruitment process ensures we meet our clients staffing requirements in an accurate and timely manner. To enable this to happen our experienced consultants carry out the following processes prior to being engaged by a client for an assignment:

Whether you are a new client or loyal returner, PSG will first focus on understanding both the technical needs and culture fit of the open role. PSG understands how important it is to truly understand the composition of the department, manager, team and company culture to insure not just a skills match, but a perfect overall fit. This initial conversation can be in person, virtually or just a phone call. We know you’re busy and flexibility is key; however, this first step is crucial to building trust and ultimately understanding your needs to find you the best talent.

Exploring our Network

At PSG, we spare no expense when it comes to mining for talent. Our large network of over 20 recruiters will immediately begin reaching out to our expansive network and begin to identify potential matches for your open role. With over 50+ years of recruiting experience, our team can quickly identify key talent and begin the screening process. In addition to our diversified network, we utilize multiple recruiting platforms, job boards and other tools to find the candidates not applying to your job. PSG utilizes both AI technology, as well as experience, pattern recognition and intuition to find talent.

In-depth Screening Process

Once talent is identified, PSG recruiters first engage in a phone screen to discern if the applicant has the initial skills and experience. If the phone screen is a success, a second, in-depth interview would be scheduled either virtually or in person. PSG utilizes both behavioral, technical and situation-based questions to understand the talent’s background. A unique method of pattern recognition on “reasons for leaving” enables PSG recruiters to identify areas of concern and discuss any red flags. Once our recruiters have a full understanding of our talent, we build a profile to connect the dots on experience and personality to present to our clients.

Risk Mitigation

At PSG, we understand the importance of risk mitigation and take compliance seriously. All our candidates are thoroughly reference checked. This includes speaking with direct supervisors from most recent employers. During these conversations, PSG recruiters are confirming the talent’s technical knowledge, as well as communication and leadership style. We focus on attendance and punctuality and ensure the supervisor would want to re-hire the talent. In addition to thorough reference checks, PSG offers a comprehensive background check. PSG can also provide a-la-carte options for drug screening and credit checks.
